In this recipe, after marinating soft pieces of chicken with curd, it is made in black pepper and with some aromatic spices, which non-veg eaters very much like. This recipe is often liked at cocktail parties with friends. You can eat it as a starter and also as a dinner. This non-veg dish is served prominently at roadside restaurants and dhabas. The biggest joy of the recipe is that you can make it with and without curry. You can also eat it with roti like paratha, lachha paratha nan, rumali roti, etc. Let’s start making this great scented dish.

 Chickin Kali Mirch Ingredients:

 

  • 800 to 900 gm –  Fresh Chicken
  • 500 gm – Curd (beaten)
  • 100 gm – Butter
  • 1 tbsp – Crushed black pepper
  • 4 – Green cardamon
  • 6 – Cloves
  • 1 tbsp – dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 inch – Cinnamon
  • 2 – By leaves
  • 1 tbsp – Turmeric
  • 1 tbsp – Salt (as per taste)
  • 100 gm – ginger (cut lengthwise)
  • 50 gm – Green chilli (cut lengthwise)
  • 50 gm – Green coriander
  • 2 – lemon 
  • 1 tbsp – Meat Masala
  • 2 tbsp – Ginger garlic paste

Chickin Kali Mirch  Instructions:

 

Step 1
First of all, we will wash the chicken thoroughly and pat it with a kitchen towel. Make small cuts on the chicken with a knife. Put the chicken and curd in a big ball, add turmeric, ginger garlic paste, and a little black pepper to it court it well, and keep it for 45 to 60 min to marinate.
Step 2
After marinating for an hour, put a big pot on top of the flame and put butter in it, when the butter melts, put small cardamom, cinnamon, and bay leaves in it and let them crackle. Now we will put our marinated chicken in it and mix it well while stirring slowly, now we will also put chopped ginger, chopped green chilies, and black paper in it, covering the pan with a big plate will slow down the flame.
Step 3
After 10 minutes, remove the lid and slowly turn it upside down and cover it again. We will keep the flame slow and take care that the chicken does not burn from below, removing the cover in between, we will keep stirring it slowly.
Step 4
After 10 minutes we will see by removing the cover and now putting salt in it stirring slowly and covering once again, the flame has to be slow. Similarly, remove the cover again and again keep watching every 10 minutes, and keep stirring slowly, our chicken soft will be done within about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Now we will rub Fenugreek Leaves with both palms and add it.
Step 5
If you are not averse to more greasiness, then put a little more butter inside the chicken and stir it slowly. Will check by hand that our chicken is soft, which means that our chicken is ready. now we will close the flame and garnish with chopped green coriander, add a little lemon juice according to the taste. You can add more black pepper according to your taste if you like to be spicy more on it.

Tips And Notes


1 – If you like to eat your Chicken Kali Mirch with a little gravy, you can add two tomatoes to it.
2 – If you like spicy food, then you can increase the amount of green chilies and black pepper in it.
3 – For better taste, black pepper should be crushed before adding. Stored black pepper should not be used, it does not give good flavor.
