It is a delicious sweet and sour dish eaten very fondly in Gujarat as well as all over India. After eating it, you will feel very light. You can eat Dhokla for breakfast, lunch, dinner, evening tea, or any time of the day.
The main ingredient of this recipe is gram flour, which is prepared by a special process in large factories by grinding the gram dal finely after peeling it.
To make Dhokla, a batter is prepared by mixing rava with gram flour and some spices, which is prepared through this steam after cooking it on low flame for half an hour, tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves is applied and a little sugar solution is also used to develop the sweet and sour taste. Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves, grated coconut and green chilies. So let’s make this delicious sweet and sour Gujarati dish Dhokla.

 Dhokla Recipe Ingredients:
- 200 gm – Besan (gram flour)
- 1 tablespoon – Rawa (fine semolina)
- 1 tablespoon – Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon – Turmeric Powder
- 1 tea spoon – Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon – Salt
- 1 service spoon – Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon – Ginger Paste
- 2 – Green Chili Paste
- 1/3 teaspoon – Eno (Fruit Salt)
For Tempering
- 1 service spoon – Cooking OilÂ
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 2 Pinch – Asafoetida
- 12 – Curry Leaves
- 2 – Green Chili (slit)
- 2 tablespoon – SugarÂ
- 1/2 teaspoon – SaltÂ
Dhokla Recipe Instructions:
Step 1
First of all, we will filter our gram flour and rava in a sieve and keep it aside. In a big bowl, add ginger paste, green chili paste, salt, sugar, oil, and lemon juice, and add 1/3 rd cup of water, mix everything well, mix the sugar well, and keep aside.
Step 2
Now we will take our rava and gram flour and add turmeric to it and mix it well and add this solution which we have prepared slowly and mix it well. Clockwise with the help of a whisk, the batter will featen properly so that there are no lumps in it. make a slightly thick batter. Increase the amount of water as required. our batter should not be too thin or too thick.
Step 3
To identify the batter, we will take a service spoon and apply its surface to the batter turn it over, and see that the batter should have a coat on it, if the batter is coting well then it is perfect. Put this batter aside and get your streamer ready. Now put four to five cups water in the streamer and put it on top of the flame to boil it.
Step 4
There should be enough water in our streamer to steam for 20 to 25 minutes. Take a four to five-in cheap utensil that can easily come inside our streamer, and at that utensil well with oil from inside.
Step 5
Now we will take our Dhokla Batter and put Eno in it pour a serving spoon of water on top of Eno and move it quickly clockwise. Mixing the Eno adds air to the dhokla batter and makes it feel light.
Step 6
Now we will put this batter in the vessel which we had put a l inside to keep the vessel inside the streamer. We will keep a steel stand inside the streamer, on top of which we will place our vessel filled with this dhokla batter.

Tips And Notes
1 – You can store the Dhokla in an airtight container in the refrigerator and eat it for the next 2 days.
2 – If you feel that the water of Dhokla has become dry while using it again, then you can prepare a little tadka again and put it in it.
3 – Before adding Eno, check its expiry date, if Eno is expired, then the ponge will not come in Dhokla and our recipe will be spoiled. Always add regular flavor regularly, do not use any flavor.
