Introduction – It is a delicious dish. The Kathal Biryani Recipe is prepared with aromatic basmati long-grain rice mixed with large chunks of jackfruit yogurt and aromatic spices. Non-veg biryani contains pieces of non-veg and in jackfruit biryani, large pieces of jackfruit are cooked and mixed in the best way, producing a taste like non-veg. In this recipe, basmati rice is pre-soaked for 30 minutes. Then prepare them by giving them a perfect boil. Large pieces of jackfruit are cooked in a gravy with curd and some aromatic spices, then the rice and jackfruit are cooked on a low flame with steam. Onion rings are fried golden and garnished. Served with curd and raita. So let’s enjoy making this wonderful aromatic recipe.

Kathal Biryani Recipe Ingredients:
- 200 gm – Basmati Rise
- 500 gm – Jackfruit (cut in big cube size)
- 4 service spn – Cooking oil
- 10 – Casew (fried)
- 1/2 teaspoon – Cumin Seeds
- 8 – Clove
- 4 -By Leaf
- 10 – Black Paper
- 6 – Black Cardamoms
- 4 -Green Cardamoms
- 2 – Cinnamon Stick (1 inch)
- 1 teaspoon – Turmeric Powder
- 2 – Green Chilli
- 8 – Garlic Clove (chopped)
- 2 inch – Ginger (chopped)
- 2 teblespn – Curd (feten)
- 2 service spn – Pure Desi Ghee
- 1 teaspoon – Coriander Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon – Red Chilli Powder (as per taste)
- 1 teaspoon – Salt (as per taste)
- 1/3 teaspn – Garam Masala
- 2 – Onion Big Size (cut into ring size)
- 1 Cup – Tomato (chopped)
- 2 teaspoon – Lemon Juice (as per taste)
- 1 tablespoon – Green Coriander Leaves (chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon – Red Food Colour or 1 tsp Saffron leaves
- 2 teaspoon – Kewda
Kathal Biryani Recipe Instructions:
Step 1
First, wash the rice thoroughly in water two to three times and keep it soaking in 4 to 5 cups of water for half an hour. Put 6 water in a pan on top of the plane for boiling, when the water boils, take out the soaked rice and put it, squeeze the juice of half a lemon, and put that lemon in the same water, big black cardamom, small cardamom, By Leaf, 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seedes, clove, 1/2 teaspoon Salt and cinnamon stick put in.
Step 2
When the rice boils in 1/3 part, turn off the flame and put the rice in a sieve so that all the water drains. Spread it little by little with your hands, taking care that the rice does not stick together. When all the steam is gone, cover the recovery we will cut our jackfruit when all the steam is gone into one-and-a-half-inch big pieces, before cutting the jackfruit, apply mustard oil on the hands and knife so that it does not stick to your hands. Peel off the seeds of the jackfruit.
Step 3
Put 5 to 6 cups of water in a big vessel to boil and put half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in it. When the water starts boiling, we will put the cut pieces of jackfruit and its seeds in it. Jackfruit pieces do not have to be boiled too much, they will be boiled in 1/3 part. When the pieces of jackfruit become boiled, take out their water and keep them aside to cool down.
Step 4
Put a nonstick flat pan on the flame and pour two service spoons of cooking oil in it, when the cooking oil becomes hot, we will spread our jackfruit pieces on top of it and fry it golden shallow when it becomes golden fried from one side. They will turn gently and fry golden from the other side as well. After frying all the jackfruit pieces, take them out and keep them aside.
Step 5
Put a nonstick pan on the flame and put two serving spoons of cooking oil in it. When the cooking oil becomes hot, we will put our onion rings in it. When the onion becomes golden fried well, take it out on a plate.

Step 6
Now we will put a nonstick large pan on top of the flame and add one service full cooking oil to it, when the cooking oil is well heated then put the garlic in it and shallow fry it. When the garlic becomes golden fru, put black paper sheets and half a teaspoon of cumin seeds inside it.
Step 7
When it cumin seeds start to crackle, put chopped ginger and chopped green chili inside it and stir, now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and red chili powder and stir slowly, after stirring for 10 seconds, Add chopped tomatoes and stir add a quarter cup of water and soften the tomatoes.
Step 8
When our tomatoes become soft, add curd to them and stir them slowly. Slow down the flame. Add a quarter of water and bring to a light boil while stirring slowly. When the masala becomes well, then put your jackfruit pieces inside it and stir very slowly, let’s slow the flame.
Step 9
Put a service phone of pure desi ghee inside the spices and mix gently, making the flame very slow. Now we will spread the spices and jackfruit pieces in the bottom of the pan. Now on spice, we will put and a half-inch thick layer of rice. Add a little fried onion and add 2-4 cashew nuts, Take red food color in half a cup of water and add little by little to it.
Step 10
Put a second layer of rice over it, add fried onions, and the rest of the cashews, Will put the red color dissolving in water little by little on all sides, put chopped coriander, garam masala, 1 service spn pure desi ghee, Kewda water will also be sprinkled and if there are saffron leaves, they will be soaked in 1/2 cup milk and put on top.
Step 11
Cover the rice with a cotton cloth and cover it with a plate, make the film very slow like zero (0) number, and leave it like this for 10 to 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, gently remove the cloth from one side and put the long plate in the soaking pan to see if the gravy water has dried or not, if the water has dried, then take out the plate slowly and cover it with a cloth plate. And if there is some water left in the bottom, we will give it more dum for 10 minutes on slow flame.
Step 12
After 10 minutes we will close the flame and let the lid remain covered like this for 15 minutes. Our Kathal Biryani Recipe is ready, Garnish with fried golden onions and chopped coriander. You can serve it with Dahi Raita or with any gravy of your choice.

Tips And Notes
1 – Steam (Dum) the Biryani on a very slow flame. The longer you steam on a low flame, the better the taste of the spices in the Biryani will be.
2 – To cook the Jackfruit Biryani on a slow flame, place a flat pan over the flame and keep the biryani utensil on top of the pan, by doing this it will continue to cook very slowly.
3 – Use only raw jackfruit to make biryani, overripe jackfruit will not add flavor to the biryani.
4 – If you want, you can also deep fry the jackfruit pieces. Some people make biryani after deep frying the jackfruit pieces.
Faq
Q: You can also add any other vegetables to jackfruit biryani.
Ans: Some people add vegetables to ma.e a veg pulao in jackfruit biryani, but I would not advise doing so because jackfruit is the main test in jackfruit biryani, adding other vegetables misses that test somewhere.
Q: What is the difference between non veg biryani and jackfruit biryani?
Ans: The process of making jackfruit biryani and non-veg biryani is almost the same, in non-veg, non-veg pieces, and instead of jackfruit biryani, big jackfruit pieces are shallow fried.
Q: How is eating jackfruit biryani good for health?
Ans: Vitamin C and Vitamin B6 are found in jackfruit. Along with this, it contains, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, and Phosphorus All types of minerals are found in it. All these nutrients and vitamins are beneficial for human health.
