Karele Ki Sabji Recipe Ingredients:

 

  • 250 gm – Bitter Gourd
  • 300 gm – Onion (chopped lengthwise)
  • 1 – Raw Mango (grated)
  • 4 servingspn – Cooking Oil (mustard)
  • 2 – Pinches Asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon – cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon – Coriander Powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon – turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon – Salt (as per taste)
  • 1/3 teaspoon – Red Chili Powder (as per taste)
  • 1/3 teaspoon – Amchur Powder (dried Mango Powder)
  • 2 – Green Chilli (chopped)
  • 1/3 – Fennel Seeds
  • 1 tablespoon – Green Coriander Leaves (chopped)

Karele Ki Sabji Recipe Instructions:


Step 1
First of all, we will peel the bitter gourd after washing it well. Finely cut round slices of bitter gourd sprinkle half a teaspoon of salt in them mix well with hands and keep it for half an hour to 1 hour, by doing this the bitterness of bitter gourd goes away. Finely chop the onion lengthwise, and finely chop the green chilies. Wash, peel, and grate raw mangoes.
Step 2
After an hour, wash the bitter gourd slices thoroughly with water in an iron strainer and keep aside, until all the water gets drained. Put a non-stick deep pan on the flame and add three to four servings spoon of cooking oil inside it, when the oil is well heated, put asafetida and cumin seeds inside it, when the cumin seeds start to crackle, put the chopped onion inside it. will pour and transparent well.
Step 3
It takes about 5 minutes for the onion to become transparent. When the onion becomes transparent, add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, Fennel Seeds, and salt according to the test and mix everything well. add and mix everything well. Add salt very carefully because we have already mixed salt in bitter gourd.
Step 4
Mixing all the spices well, after 10 seconds put the chopped bitter gourd inside them and mix them all well. slow the flame and cover the bitter gourd with a lid. After 5 minutes, remove the lid and stir the bitter gourd once add grated raw mango and mix it, and again cover the bitter gourd with the lid. After 10 minutes, remove the lid mix the bitter gourd well and see whether it is ready or not.
Step5
It takes 25 to 30 minutes for a bitter gourd to be cooked and ready. Crush one piece of bitter gourd with your hand. If it gets crushed properly then it means bitter gourd is ready. If it does not crush properly, then cover the lid and apply bitter gourd for 5 to 10 minutes. When the bitter gourd is well prepared, then add half a teaspoon of dried mango powder, add one serving spoon of chopped coriander, and mix it well. 1 – Bitter gourd is very bitter to eat, to remove the bitterness of bitter gourd, wash and peel the bitter gourd, cut off its seam apply a little salt, and keep it for 40 to 50 minutes. By doing this, its bitterness goes away.
2 – Bitter gourd vegetables should always be cooked on a slow flame, this vegetable is prepared better by making it slowly, but with a high flame, there is a fear of burning the vegetable.
