Urad Dal Dry Recipe Instructions:
Step 1
First of all, we will wash the white urad dal thoroughly with water and soak it in water for 1 hour. Now we will finely chop all our vegetables like tomato, ginger, onion, garlic, and green chili. After soaking the pulses in water for an hour, pour 700 grams of water into a non-stick vessel, add half a spoon of salt and half a spoon of turmeric powder put the pulses in the same water, and boil on medium flame.
Step 2
It takes 10 to 15 minutes for the dal to boil on low flame. Do not boil the dal too much. Keep stirring the dal with a spoon in between. We have to boil the dal at only 80 percent. Keep in mind that 10 percent of the pulses should remain raw and the pulses should not be boiled too much.

Step 3
When lentils boil, close the flame. Pour the lentil water into an iron strainer drain it all and keep it aside. Now we will place a non-stick pan over the flame and pour 1 tablespoon of cooking oil inside it. When the cooking oil becomes hot, add one pinch of asafoetida and cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds start crackling, add chopped garlic insiit and cook it light golden brown.
Step 4
After it becomes golden, add chopped onion and soften it a little. After the onion becomes soft, we will add all our spices inside the pan like coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt, and mix everything well. We will add salt very carefully because we had added salt inside the dal while boiling it. Be careful not to add too much salt.
Step 5
We will turn the flame on medium, and after stirring it for 10 seconds, add chopped green chilies and chopped ginger and mix well, then add chopped tomato inside it and let it become slightly soft. When tomatoes become soft, add boiled urad dal into it and mix well. Stir everything thoroughly for 5 minutes on medium flame. Cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
Step 6
After mixing everything well, add butter and garam masala, and also add some chopped coriander. Add lemon juice and chaat masala as per taste. Eat some dry dal and see if any spice is lacking then you can add that spice as per your taste.
Now our Urad Dal Dry Recipe is ready, we will take it out in a serving bowl and garnish it with chopped coriander. You can eat it as a snack or you can eat it with roti, paratha, butter nan, and nan.
