 Veg Burger Ingredients:

 

  • 500 gm – boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup – Chana dal (boiled)
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch – asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp – garam masala
  • 200 gm – chopped coriander leaves
  • 50 gm – fresh mint leaves
  • 2 – green chilli
  • 1 inch – ginger
  • 1 – lemon
  • 1/2 tsp – red chili powder
  • 2 tsp – corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (as par teste)
  • 500 gm – cooking oil (for shallow frying)
  • 1 tsp – butter

For Burger Assembly

  • 4 burger buns
  • 8 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of tomato (big size)
  • 8 slices of onion (big size)
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • Tomato ketchup or mayonnaise for spreading

Veg Burger Instruction:


Step 1
First of all, put a pan on top of the flame and add 1 tablespoon oil, when the oil becomes hot, then add half a teaspoon of cumin and asafoetida of the cumin seeds when cumin seeds start crackling, add half a teaspoon of coriander powder, half teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 red chili powder, salt according to the test and slowly stir the flame. After running for 10 seconds on slow flame add boiled chana dal, add some chopped green chilies, add some chopped ginger, and mix it slowly. When the lentils and spices mix well, turn off the flame and add a little garam masala to it. Our Aloo Tikki stuffing is ready.
Step 2
Now we will prepare green coriander and mint chutney, put chopped coriander and mint leaves in the mixer grinder, add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, add green chili and, ginger, and make a fine paste, add half a cup of water before grinding when our chutney is ready If you go, add half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of chaat masala, and lemon juice as per taste. Our green chutney is also ready.
Step 3
Now we will prepare potato tikki, after boiling the potato, cool it and peel & grate it, add 2 tbsp corn flour to the potato, add 1 tbsp cumin seed, add half a tsp garam masala, salt, mix everything well according to the test and make big balls of potato tikki. We will make balls and bring them with both palms and for stuffing, which is our gram dal, fill it little by little press it with the fist, and make it round again.
Step 4
Now these potato balls will be pressed little by little and will give the shape of a tikki, Now these tikki are wrapped with breadcrumbs on both sides, put a pan on the flame and put 4 tbsp cooking oil in the pan to shallow fry the potato tikki and Put the potato tikki in the pan and try fried on low flame, when the tikkis are well cooked from one side, then gently turn them over. When the tikkis are golden fried from both sides, close the flame and take out the tikkis on a plate.
Step 5
Now we will cut the fresh bun (burger) brought from the market into 2 parts with a knife from the middle, put a little butter in a pan heat it lightly from both sides, and coat the cut part with green chutney, then make a hole in the middle. After applying green chutney, keep the lettuce leaves Press the potato tikki and then apply onion slice, tomato slice, and cucumber slice on top of it. Keep adding salt and chaat masala in between the tomato slice, onion slice, and cucumber slices, according to the taste.
Step 6
Make a paste by mixing mayonnaise and tomatoes now put a spoon on the upper part of the bun and coat it. By putting these slices from above, we will put the upper part of the bun on it and press it a little with the hand so that all the vegetables are set in one place. 1 –You can also add poha to potatoes as per your choice Poha absorbs water and gives a crispy taste when cooked.
2 –You serve a veg burger with french fries or potato chips, your presentation will be beautiful.
3 – You can make your Aloo Tikki by shallow frying or deep frying in both ways. Deep frying takes less time, it gets cooked quickly. Let’s fry it slowly on a slow flame.
