Cutlet making first started in France but later it gradually started being made all over the world. Many types of cutlets are made in the market, both veg and non-veg. This breakfast available in the market is mostly always available, you order and the shopkeeper serves it to you immediately by deep frying it or heating it in the oven.
In this recipe, potatoes are boiled and mashed after cooling. Vegetables like boiled peas, carrots and beans are finely chopped and mixed with the mashed potatoes. Some aromatic spices like cumin seeds, red chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala, salt and chopped coriander leaves, bread crumbs are added and deep fried in cooking oil in desired round or long shape and served. Green chutney and tomato sauce enhance its taste further. So, let’s make this crunchy snack full of taste.

Veg Cutlet Recipe Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup – Carrot (chopped)1/2 Cup – Peas (boiled)
- 1/2 Cup – French Beans (chopped)
- 2 – Poteto (big size)
- 1/2 Cup – Peas
- 2 – Green Chili (chopped)
- 1/3 Cumin Seeds
- 1/3 tablespoon – Coriander Powder
- 1/2 teaspn- Garam Masala
- 1/2 teaspoon – Chat Masala
- 1/2 teaspoon – Salt (as per taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon – Red Chili Powder (as per taste)
- 1 Cup – Bread Crumbs
- 2 tablespoons – Green Coriander Leaves (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons – Corn Flour (arrowroot)
- 750 ml – Cooking Oil
Veg Cutlet Recipe Instructions:
Step 3
After mixing everything well, taste it to see if the salt and chili are right or not. You can add more salt and chili according to your taste. Put 2 tablespoons of arrowroot in a bowl and add half a cup of water and mix well. There should be no lumps in the liquid. The liquid should not be too thick, keep it very thin.
Step 4
Now we will make small balls of the cutlet mixer and make them round with both the palms and give it a slightly flat shape. You can keep the size of the cutlet small or big as per your choice. After all the cutlets are ready in a flat shape, dip them in the thin arrowroot liquid and put them in bread crumbs and coat them well from both sides. After wrapping all the cutlets in bread crumbs, take them out in a plate.

Step 5
After mixing everything well, taste if the salt and chili are right or not, you can add more salt and chili according to your test. Put 2 tbsp arrowroot in a bowl add half a cup of water and mix it well. There should be no lumps inside the liquid. The liquid should not be too thick, keep it very thin.
Step 6
Now we will make small balls of the cutlet mixer and after rounding it with both palms will give it a slightly flattened shape. Cutlet size can be small or big as per your choice. After all the cutlets are ready in a flat shape, take them out in the fine liquid of arrowroot and coat them well from the opposite side by putting them in bread crumbs. After courting all the cutlets in bread crumbs, take them out on a plate.
Step 7
Now we will shallow fry all the cutlets, for that put a flat nonstick pan over the flame and add 4 to 5 tbsp cooking oil inside it. When the cooking oil becomes hot, turn the flame to medium and place the cutlets inside the pan with a small gap. After 3 to 4 minutes, lift the cutlets with a flat spoon and see that after turning golden, turn them gently and fry the other side as well. Add a little cooking oil inside the pan.
Step 8
Fry the cutlets on medium flame from both sides to golden shallow, when our cutlets are well golden fried, take them out and keep them on kitchen napkin paper, by doing this all their extra oil will come out. Tips And Notes
1 – You can also add grated fresh paneer to veg cutlets, veg cutlets give a very good taste even with paneer.
