Suji Upma Recipe is a main breakfast made in South Indian homes. People of all classes, whether children or adults, like to eat it. Semolina, which is also called Rava, is extracted from wheat in big factories through a special process, which includes grinding it with big machines. Semolina breakfast is a heavy breakfast that fills the stomach.
In this recipe, Suji is roasted on low flame, after that peanuts, cashews and some chopped fresh vegetables are added to it and aromatic spices are added in three times more water than the amount of rava and it is cooked till it thickens. After it is ready, garnish it with chopped coriander and butter and serve hot. So let’s make this heavy breakfast recipe.

Suji Upma Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 Cup – Rawa (semolina)
- 2 table spoon – Desi Ghee
- 1/2 Cup – Peanut (Roasted)
- 12 – Cashew
- 1/2 Cup – Onion (chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon – Mustard Seeds
- 12 – Curry Leaves
- 1 – Green Chili (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon – Ginger (chopped)
- 1/2 Cup – Green Pee (Boil)
- 1/4 Cup – Carrot (chopped)
- 1/4 Cup – Beans (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon – Butter
- 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon – Red Chili Powder (as per taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon – Salt (as per taste)
- 1 tablespoon – Green Coriander Leaves (chopped)
- 1 – Lemon
Suji Upma Recipe Instructions:
Place a pan over the flame And put 1 tablespoon of butter in it, when the butter melts and becomes hot, add cashews roast them light brown, and take them out on a plate. If our peanuts are already roasted, then it is okay, otherwise who will roast the peanuts lightly by adding a little butter?


Tips And Notes
1 –You can increase the vegetables in the Suji Upma recipe as per your choice like paneer, potato, Cauliflower, or any other vegetable of your choice.
​2 –In Gujarat, Upma is also made with a little sweetness. You can add 1 tsp sugar as per your choice if you want to eat sour and sweet.
3 – The ratio of water should be mixed very carefully in suji, 3 cups of water is mixed in one cup of rava, whenever you make suji Upma, water should be used in the same ratio.
4 –Roast rava should be added little by little to the boiled water and keep stirring continuously otherwise lumps will form.
